What's new in Mosyle Business with iOS 13

The new iOS 13 is now available for download and installation on iPhone devices. If you manage your Apple devices in Enterprise using Mosyle Business, you are ready to go with the new Apple mobile device management features made available with the new operating system.

New Management Profiles Compatible with iOS 13

Extensible Single Sign-On profile

You can now configure the Extensible Single Sign-On management profile, which can be used to log users into native apps as well as websites that support the new Extension authentication method.

New Restrictions Compatible with iOS 13

With the iOS 13, IT specialists now have new options when configuring the Restrictions management profile to be applied on iPhone devices. All the new restrictions require the Supervised mode. Find out about the new restrictions available with iOS 13 below:

Do not allow QuickPath keyboard

After this restriction is activated, the user will not be able to use QuickPath keyboard.

Do not allow Find my Device

After this restriction is activated, it disables Find My Device in Find My App.

Do not allow Find my Friends

After this restriction is activated, this disables Find My Friends in Find My App.

Do not allow access files on Network Drive

After this restriction is activated, the user will not be able to access files on Network Drive.

Do not allow USB Files Drive

After this restriction is activated, the user will not be able to access USB Files Drive.

Force Wifi Power On

After this restriction is activated, the user will not be able to disable Wifi Power settings.

New Advanced Options on Management Profiles Compatible with iOS 13

The new iOS 13 also brought new advanced settings for management profiles. Check out the new options below:

Domains management profile

You can now configure the Domains profile that should trigger the VPN connection in Calendar, Contacts and Mail.

Network Usage Rules management profile

Now you can configure the SIM Rules when configuring the Network Usage Rules to be applied to devices.

Exchange management profile

Now you can set up new configurations when creating the Exchange management profile to be applied to iOS and iPadOS devices:

  • Enabled Services
  • Enable services for the account (at least one of them should be enabled): Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Notes.

  • Account Modification
  • Allow users to modify the state/status of the following services: Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Notes.

  • Use OAuth for authentication
  • OAuth Sign in URL

    OAuth Token Request URL

App Lock management profile

Now you can select to enable Voice Control when configuring the App Lock on devices with iOS 13.
